Children's Dental Care in a nutshell

Looking after your children's teeth, even when they don't

Checking children's teeth can be really important, not just in detecting current problems, but also developing problems that could get, well, too developed.

We all want to make sure that our kids are in good health and fit to face all the challenges they will meet, and we are here to help you do that.

Treatment Options for Children's Dental Care in Highgate, North London

Our therapist and dentist offer tooth coloured fillings for children. We understand that treating children is not as easy as with most adults and know how to do this, sprinkled with lots of TLC.

£100 - £250

Fissure sealants can be placed in baby or adult teeth. They seal and release fluoride into the grooves and fissures of the tooth, and help reduce the risk of tooth decay.

from £65

Sometimes, unfortunately, we have to remove baby teeth. Perhaps the tooth may be in a bad condition and cannot be fixed, or the tooth is stuck in place and needs to be removed to allow the adult tooth through. We are careful in making sure the area is really numb, and we carefully tease out the tooth, making sure it is neatly packaged for the tooth fairy to collect later that day.

from £100

For various reasons we can find children's teeth are not developing in the right positions. Our orthodontist is on hand to work out if the teeth or jaws need to be helped to grow in the correct way using early intervention orthodontic techniques to help reduce the level of treatment needed when your child becomes a teenager or older.

Having a tongue tie (or a lip tie) can adversely effect your child's speech and eating. In a simple, painless procedure, our oral surgeon can help sort this out for you.

FAQs

We recommend that a child go to the dentist from age 1 or around six months after their first tooth comes through. Primary teeth begin growing from six months of age.

Our preferred method of payment is bank transfer, and we accept most debit and credit cards, though not American Express.

Sadly not, we are a private practice only.

Yes there is, though it is on a first come first served basis, with priority given to those with mobility issues. We share two spaces with our neighbour and ask that you use the space considerately.

Generally speaking your treatment may be uncomfortable, but it should not be painful, and we will do our very best to make sure the whole experience is as pleasant as possible. If you are nervous, we do offer various forms of sedation and we are most happy to discuss your needs and options with you.

We are here to look after you, your teeth, gums and general oral health - all the team are very approachable and understanding. It's our job and we love doing it.

You can call 020 8348 9995, email info@pondsquaredental.co.uk, complete an enquiry form or book an appointment directly through our website.

A fee is usually charged if there is not enough notice given to cancel or rearrange an appointment or if an appointment is missed.

We follow all the regulations and advice and manufacturer requirements regarding cross infection, decontamination, hygiene and equipment maintenance. We take your safety and ours very seriously.
