Khaled Almukhtar

I graduated in Mosul, Iraq in 1994 then finished two years SHO job in Mosul. Moved to Libya to work as general dentist in a district hospital for 5 years where I gained experience in General dentistry and oral surgery under specialist supervision.

In 2002 I moved to London where I had to do my IQE to requalify my overseas degree and started a part time community dental officer job at Bart's community dental service where I treated adults and children with complex medical history and anxiety. I also worked for the Emergency dental services at Bart's treating emergency adult and children’s cases. In addition, I was working as a part time associate dentist at different dental practices in London.

I was awarded with MFDS and MFGDP in 2007 and 2018 from the Royal College of Surgeon of England.

In 2012 I decided to advance my career and started a MClinDent course in paediatric dentistry at Queen Mary University of London which I completed in 2015. I then started my current Job as a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric dentistry at QMUL. I also completed my teaching qualification (PGCAP) in 2018 and currently involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. In 2001 I was awarded with the membership of Paediatric dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh and registered as Paediatric Dentist specialist.
