- Treatment Overview
All on 4 refers to an implant based system to replace all the teeth in a jaw.
As the name suggests, four implants are placed, and there are usually eight to ten replacement teeth.
This type of treatment is usually used where there is little bone left to support conventionally placed implants towards the back of the mouth. This system requires placement of the two back implants at a specific angle, with a clever connecting component to the replica teeth, and is designed by Nobel Biocare.
It is possible to use this system as for teeth in a day.
As with all complex treatments, planning and diagnostic stages are essential. Initial replica teeth are usually intended to be temporary, and, as in teeth in a day, the temporary teeth can be used to refine and finesse the definitive set of teeth, and act as a spare set in case of an emergency!
